The word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double edge sword it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit.
We welcome Stu from Catch the Fire.
Sharing from Exodus, Stu brings to life how we can be safe in the Fire of God and how all scripture points to Jesus. The burning bush that Moses experienced was was unusual in the fact it was burning but not being destroyed. Our experience of God should be a fire that brings life as well as experience of partnering with our Father. The world needs US to know who God is so that we can bring the unsaved into a lasting relationship with Jesus.
Matthew 4:1-11 Jesus relied on the scriptures to fight His battles. By knowing the Word of God, Jesus was able to fight off the devil’s temptations. When we walk through a period of trouble our knowledge of the Bible will sustain us and bring us through. We need to learn to fight our battles the Jesus way.
‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’
Dave brings to life the importance of loving God with all of our mind. How using our mind is a conscious act we take to become more Christ like. He looks at how Jesus loved His Father so completely and how we can learn from Him how to do this.
WOW!! What an incredible morning. It was vision Sunday and we wanted to share our vision of focusing on our first love and learning how to become passionate lovers….but instead during worship God poured out His love on us in such a tangible way that we just couldn’t stop worshipping!!
God demonstrates the vision so much better than we can communicate it!!
This felt like one of those weeks that changes things significantly!!
It’s all about love. Dave shares with us the journey God has taken him on over the past few weeks and shares how passionately God is in love with us. Nothing can separate us from His love and His love conquers everything. Song of Songs is full of beautiful love songs and Dave walks us through many of them. This is a must listen to sermon.
Toby Skipper is leader of Kings Church Norwich. Visiting with his family he asks the question of what would God write about His church both at Kingdom Life, churches in Norwich and further afield. Sharing from Romans 12:10 Toby brings to life how we as a Church should behave.
This morning Dave taught on how to worship in our daily lives. It’s not just about singing at church on a Sunday. The life of King David, who danced in his ephod in reverence to God, Mary who anointed Jesus’ feet with nard (a very expensive perfume) and King Jehoshaphat who sent his men into battle BEHIND the choir are all great examples of how we should worship.
